It’s great fun! The Shottery Play Reading Group usually meet on the 4th Friday of the month in each other’s homes. The Warwickshire library service hold a wide range of play scripts at their Nuneaton depot. Their website is very helpful and it is quite easy to select a suitable play which gives the details of number of characters and gender. A simple phone call to Nuneaton and a bunch of scripts are winging their way to Stratford Library ready for me to collect at a very low cost of 50p per copy.

We have read a lot of comedies but also some dramas. It’s a light hearted get together and the tea and chat after the reading are very much part of the meeting.
