When: On Tuesday afternoons
3rd Tue 2.00 pm

The reading group meets once a month. We usually meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2pm to around 4pm, but we try to be flexible to members’ other commitments and get our diaries out to find a date which suits members if the 3rd Tuesday proves difficult. We read one book each month and then meet to discuss and share our opinions and reactions to the issues raised. Then we have tea and biscuits! We’re a friendly and sociable group.

We select books from Stratford Library’s Reading Group Collection, so read a wide variety of styles and themes. Members suggest books they might like to try or the group leader chooses a book. The leader orders and collects the books from the library , so no book purchases are necessary.

Group size is limited to the number we can comfortably fit in members’ living rooms. We are not currently at our maximum number. You don’t need to be a literature expert, all you need is to enjoy reading and be willing to try a wide variety of books you may not previously have considered.
